South African company’s cost effective gaming solutions to level the playing field for operators

Monday 4 February 2013 (London, UK) – BetTech Gaming, the provider of premium technology solutions to gaming companies, will formally launch in Europe at ICE Totally Gaming 2013, held at ExCeL, London (5-7 February 2013).

BetTech will demonstrate its flagship BetTech Sports product at stand S1-320 for the show’s duration.

The company was co-founded in August 2009 by chief executive officer Jesse Hemson-Struthers and chief operating officer Mark Bosman.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, it has benefitted from the country’s strong sports betting turnover growth, which has increased from R855m in 2009 to R6963m in 2012, according to Government figures.

Focussed on regulated markets, BetTech’s existing clients include multi-national lottery organisations, blue chip casino groups, online bookmakers and online casinos.

The company is bringing this experience and its cost-effective BetTech Sports solution, designed to give smaller sportsbook operators the functionality to compete with the world’s largest bookmakers, to the European online gaming industry.

The GLI-certified BetTech Sports is quick to market as a one-stop solution and allows an operator to launch in less than four weeks. It is optimised for mobile and features integrations from, among others, Betradar, which includes over 6000 live monthly events, Soccer Roulette and Virtual Football League, Microgaming, Enetpulse and over 20 payment providers.

BetTech’s proprietary Sports product is built on open source infrastructure, and is fully customisable and scalable. Running on a web-based platform, it offers seamless web, mobile and point of sale betting interfaces, offering bet types for all geographic markets, including Asian handicaps, horse racing (fixed odds and tote) and spread betting.

Hemson-Struthers and Bosman will be joined at ICE by general manager Anli Kotzé, who launched Ladbrokes.co.za in South Africa after working at The Betway Group as well as Betfair, and chief technology officer Ian Barnes.

“Over three years’ preparation has gone into us showing at ICE and we are delighted to be here for the first time in 2013 for our European launch,” said Kotzé. “As a company we are focussed on the technology behind our products. New to the marketplace, BetTech Sports is free from legacy issues and is a very competitive and cost effective one wallet platform for web and mobile sportsbook and casino operators.”
